Coming Soon: Megamind - Brad Pitt (1st Full Length Trailer)
May 20th 2010 17:43
Category: Comedy, Coming Soon!
U.S. Release: November 5, 2010
Director: Tom McGrath
Starring: Brad Pitt, Will Farrell, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill
With the recent release of Shrek Forever, Dreamworks has decided to drop a full length version of its upcoming animation movie Megamind.
Megamind is a satirical take on the superhero movies. After super-villain Megamind (Ferrell) kills his good-guy nemesis, Metro Man (Pitt), he becomes bored since there is no one left to fight. He creates a new foe, Titan (Hill), who, instead of using his powers for good, sets out to destroy the world, positioning Megamind to save the day for the first time in his life. - Imdb.com
I don't know whether it's sad or not that Dreamworks has jumped on the 3D bandwagon with this one.
I'm not a huge fan of animation so I don't know if I will check this one out although I thoroughly enjoyed The Incredibles. Still I must say that the the premise of this movie is brilliant, it's nice to see that Hollywood still has some originality left despite all the remakes that are in the works. It's too bad this movie is animation, I think it would make a great live action film.
Anyhow, I still have until November 5, to be convinced. I do like Will Farrell's absurd sense of humor and who can resist Tina Fey? However since I have always been a huge fan of Brad Pitt that might just convince me to pay $10.00.
