Coming Soon: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (Trailer)
May 31st 2010 11:01
U.S. Release: August 13, 2010
Director: Edgar Wright
Starring: Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Brandon Routh, Brie Larson, Mae Whitman, Anna Kendrick, Mark Webber, Alison Pill, Johnny Simmons, Aubrey Plaza
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is a zany comedy about Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). He has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It's getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart's butt -- and now is back in town -- to the teenage distraction he's trying to shake when Ramona (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) rollerblades into his world, love hasn't been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.
As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues' gallery from her past -- from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over - Yahoo.com
Word has it that the director announced on his twitter page that a trailer will not be released unless the Facebook Fanpage reaches over 100,000 fans - and here we are.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is directed by British filmmaker Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz previously). The screenplay is written by Edgar Wright and actor Michael Bacall, based on the Oni Press comic book series of the same name.
I would see this movie just to see Chris Evan and Brandon Routh.
