Welcome to "Cinema Herald". My aim is to bring movie reviews to a somewhat different level. I don't know about you guys but I'm sick and tired of Critics who dissect a movie to bits. Who cares about all that deep stuff, sometimes you just want to know if you'll be entertained or not. Is it worth me spending $10? Now don't get me wrong, sometimes when we watch a movie, it does require us to put on our thinking caps and I'll do that from time to time depending on the film I review but for the most part, I just want to know if I'm going to have a laugh or a cry or even crap my pants - in other words, will it take my mind off the fact that I'm broke and my rent is due for a few hours? Movies are a public service...they are to help us escape for a few hours and forget that we're overworked and under paid.

Coming Soon: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (Trailer)

May 31st 2010 11:01
U.S. Release: August 13, 2010
Director: Edgar Wright
Starring: Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Brandon Routh, Brie Larson, Mae Whitman, Anna Kendrick, Mark Webber, Alison Pill, Johnny Simmons, Aubrey Plaza

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is a zany comedy about Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). He has never had a problem
getting a girlfriend. It's getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart's butt -- and now is back in town -- to the teenage distraction he's trying to shake when Ramona (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) rollerblades into his world, love hasn't been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.

As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues' gallery from her past -- from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over - Yahoo.com

Word has it that the director announced on his twitter page that a trailer will not be released unless the Facebook Fanpage reaches over 100,000 fans - and here we are.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is directed by British filmmaker Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz previously). The screenplay is written by Edgar Wright and actor Michael Bacall, based on the Oni Press comic book series of the same name.

I would see this movie just to see Chris Evan and Brandon Routh.
