Skateland is a coming-of-age independent drama set in the
80's centered around a roller-skating rink (anyone remember roller skates?).
Skateland closes down in 1983 forcing Ritchie (Shiloh Fernandez) to find another job. His parents are getting divorce, and virtually every other relationship in his life is a mess, and he must make adult decisions for the first time in his life and finally grow up. - yahoo.com
Skateland first premiered at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and was also shown at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin last March.
This film is directed by first-time feature filmmaker Anthony Burns, who co-wrote the screenplay with brothers Brandon and Heath Freeman, who are also producers on the movie.
