George Clooney's new movie, "The American", looks like a real winner. He plays a hit man on his last job in Italy and judging from the trailer, there is a beautiful distraction involved as well. While the plot seems predictable, I'm pretty sure there are a few suspenseful surprises and interestings twists in store.
The cinematography looks excellent, which makes sense considering it was directed by visual artist and filmmaker, Anton Corbijn, whose only other credit is 2007's "Control" and numerous music videos. "The American" is written by Rowan Jaffe ("28 Days Later") and it's based on the novel, "A Private Gentleman" by Martin Booth.
