Coming Soon: Tomorrow, When The War Begins (Full Trailer)
June 24th 2010 02:23
Category: Action, Coming Soon!
Australian Release Date: September 2, 2010
Director: Stuart Beattie
Starring: Rachel Hurd-Wood, Phoebe Tonkin, Caitlin Stasey and Lincoln Lewis.
The War Begins Tomorrow is a young adult invasion novel, detailing a high-intensity invasion and occupation of Australia by a foreign power. The novel is told in first person perspective by the main character, a teenage girl named Ellie Linton, who is part of a small band of teenagers waging a guerrilla war on the enemy garrison in their fictional home town of Wirrawee. The novel is part of a series called the Tomorrow series, a name derived from the title of this book.(-Wikipedia)
This movie is the directorial debut of one of my favorite screenwriters, Australian born, Stuart Beattie. Beattie also brings us the script which he adapted from the popular novel of the same title by John Marsden.
Of course we all might remember, Red Dawn which came out in 1984 that had a similar premise. The remake for Red Dawn is scheduled to be release November 24, 2010 and it stars Chris Hemsworth and Josh Peck. Either way it will be interesting to see both films.
**I'm cutting on featuring trailers for new movies because there are way too many posts that are already doing the same thing AND I would like to focus more on writing reviews, however I will still be posting a few trailers to movies that I find interesting.
